Quantum Cat is a mobile game for iPhone that a team of developers and I built for fun in 2012. I served as creative director on the project and led the art and programming teams in establishing the graphical style, user interface, and overall gameplay experience.
The idea was to create a fun, casual mobile experience in which the player would control a stylish, interstellar cat who sped through the cosmos. Points earned throughout the game would be used to collect credits and purchase new gear, equipment, and apparel for your cat. Your cat could then be printed out into a real-life papercraft doll, which was our way of relating your virtual in-game avatar to actual physical toys that were completely customized to your personal experience.
The game was released in the App Store in December 2012.
